Half Day Experience: Glenarm Village & Glenarm Castle Walled Garden And Tea Room
Cost of experience £15 pp
Your experience begins with an exploration of our visitor centre and The Steensons’ Economusee, where you will see silversmiths crafting unique pieces of jewellery.
Then you will hear the story of our quaint unspoilt village as you are guided over carriageways and cobblestones, or along the original Layde Path, to view some fine Georgian architecture and original streetscape which will have you reaching for your cameras.
You are granted safe passage through the Barbican Gate – No burning oil from the murder hole! Then we pass to the front of the Castle the ancestral home of the McDonnells Earls Of Antrim, on our way to enjoy the Charming Walled Garden accessed by a secret door.
There is something for everyone in the garden, from the geometric hedging and exotic fruit to the rose collection and unique tulip festival. A feast of colour and fragrance assails your senses and again your cameras will be in use. To round off your morning in Glenarm a special culinary experience awaits you in the Tea Rooms where you can savour the flavour of local organic produce.
